                 NOTICE OF EXPIRATION OF THE TEMPORARY FULL FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR NONINTEREST-BEARING TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

 

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).  Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor's accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.

Notice: In accordance with Federal Regulation CC we need to inform you of our policy regarding your rights to draw funds against deposits you have made to any transaction account at our institution. Our Funds Availability Policy is outlined below:

You Should Know That:
Our general policy is to allow you to withdraw funds deposited in your account on the next business day after the day we receive your deposit. Funds from electronic direct deposit will be available on the day we receive the deposit. In some cases, we may delay your ability to withdraw funds beyond the next business day. Then, the funds will generally be available by the second business day after the day of deposit.

Under the Federal Reinvestment Act (CRA) the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) evaluates our record of helping to meet the credit needs of this community consistent with safe and sound operations.  The FDIC also takes this record into account when deciding on certain applications submitted by us.

You are entitled to certain information about our operations and our performance under the CRA including, for example, information about our branches, such as their location and services provided at them; the public section of our most recent CRA Performance Evaluation, prepared by the FDIC; and comments received from the public relating to our performance in helping to meet community credit needs, as well as our responses to those comments.  You may review this information today.

At least 30 days before the beginning of each quarter, the FDIC publishes a nationwide list of the banks that are scheduled for CRA examination in that quarter.  This list is available from the Regional Manager, Division of Compliance and Consumer Affairs, FDIC, 25 Jessie Street at Ecker Square, Suite 2300, San Francisco, California 94105.  You may send written comments about our performance in helping to meet community credit needs to:
